Over the years, I’ve spent time with many people who care deeply about nature — farmers, hunters, wildlife managers, scientists, policymakers, and many others in between. What I’ve come to believe is this: the future for nature depends less on science and policy, and more on how we as a society, think and feel about the landscapes around us and the species that share our space.
